Southern Vietnam
In Apr 2014, as usual we take an inspection trip to southern Vietnam and Cambodia. The trip starts in Saigon a very hot day about 36 degree but escape to ocean of Mui Ne. It is a mass developing in Mui Ne and Phan Thiet city now with hotels and resorts growing. More over there are a lot of local simple and good food restaurant by banker where away from those center hotels North about 10 minute on foot, of cause these local restaurants for anyone want to explore local food and you may like bargaining!!! Continue our trip back to Ho Chi Minh take about 5 hours drive, the highway is plan to finished by end of 2014 which will reduce the travel time to 3:30 hours.
Cai Be market now less busier but some capture a daily life would be interesting for your trip
Fishing market in Mui Ne, Vietnam, best visit early morning about 6 or 7 AM when fishman return from ocean
Posanu Cham temple in Mui Ne built around 8 century, Vietnam, to visit this place need to prepare sun cream or hat due it is very hot for walking around the temple.
Toward Cambodia Leaving Ho Chi Minh I heading to North West to Cai Be floating market, Ving Long home stay, snake farm arrive Chau Doc in the late afternoon visit floating village and Cham village. Some good hotels for your holiday are Victoria Chau Doc, Chau Pho, Nui Sam Lodge. Early morning prepare to take 5 hours speed boat toward Phnom Penh, Cambodia (You can obtain visa on arrival here). Good sightseeing in Phnom Penh are Wat Phnom temple, National museum, Pol Pot prison at secondary school centre Phnom Penh or killing field take less than an hour drive.

From Phnom Penh let think what to choose next? Go to Sihanouk Ville beach about 4hours drive and boat to Korong Saleum island for 1 hour boat trip. Go toward Siem Reap explore entire of Angkor temples complex for 6 hours drive, 4 hour boat trip, 1 hour flight or drive along Cambodia – Vietnam border visit the only Dolphin leave in Mekong river, great temples along the way include Preah Vihear temple next Thailand border where was the conflict in 2008. From Siem Reap you also can take 2 days 1 night trip to visit Bang Melia temple, Kohker temple and Preah Vihear stay at boutique resort and return on next day afternoon.
