Vietnam will drop its visa requirements for tourists from 5 more European nationalities in a bid to boost its slumping tourism industry.
Under the No 46 Decree/ Decree - Government newly issued, visitors from United Kingdom, France, Germany , Spain and Italy, will no longer need visa to visit Vietnam starting in July 2015 for stays up to 15 days regardless of the type of passport, entry purposes.
Currently, Vietnam gives reciprocal visa exemptions to nine countries in ASEAN, or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, and unilaterally waives visas for visitors from four Nordic countries, Russia, Belarus, Japan and South Korea..
